Hyogo-based Kobe brewery Open Air Minatoyama Brewery unveiled its new beer in an Instagram post titled "✨hop viking✨ Hop Viking." The post described it as "a beer related to Norway for two weeks in a row," presenting a concept of a "powerful, hoppy beer" inspired by Nordic Vikings.
The style is Hazy IPA. It uses Kveik yeast from Norway, with specs of ABV 6.0% / IBU 18. The hops are listed as Idaho 7, Cryo Idaho 7, Elani, and Cryo Sabro. The post highlights a juicy drinking impression and tropical aroma, and suggests food pairings such as jerk chicken, grilled pineapple, and fish tacos.
