Beerma Kitasenju highlights four U.S. breweries for the Keyaki Beer Festival
The beer pub “Beerma Kitasenju” in Kitasenju shared its tap information on Instagram in time for the Keyaki Beer Festival. The lineup includes beers from Level Beer, Prairie Artisan Ales, Caldera, and Totopia Brewery, while Biasphobia has just been newly tapped on draft.
“Beerma Kitasenju,” located a short walk from the west exit of Kitasenju Station, is a beer pub that carries a wide range of craft beer from around the world. The interior is centered on standing service, and bottles and cans can be enjoyed for the glass fee plus 200 yen, making it convenient for daytime drinking or a pre-party stop.
The lineup introduced on Instagram this time is geared toward the Keyaki Beer Festival. The canned beers that stand out are Level Beer’s `Average Joe IPA` and `Skyward Strike Hazy Pale Ale`. The former is known for its balance of juiciness and bitterness, while the latter can be enjoyed as a hazy beer with a substantial hop presence. In addition, Prairie Artisan Ales’ `Rhinestone Rancher` is presented as a sour with a strong apple tartness, and Caldera Brewing Company’s `Mosaic IPA` is lined up as a beer for those who want firm bitterness.
The newly tapped draft beer is Totopia Brewery’s `Biasphobia`. It is a hazy triple brewed with double mash and double dry hopping, and is said to have a rich profile without being pushed too far. Being able to compare American canned beers that put hop aroma front and center with a new draft release at the same shop is exactly the kind of appeal that makes Beerma stand out.
In the drinking alley area of Kitasenju, this kind of tap guide fits well with a place where you can casually have one drink or settle in for a proper comparison tasting. It is the kind of content that works both as prep for the Keyaki Beer Festival and as a stop for a drink on the way home.
