At Streetlight Brewing in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, a collaboration beer titled “SAPPORO MARATHON “OTSUKARE” ALE 2026” was announced. The beer is a pale ale at 4.5% ABV and is based on a Mikkeller recipe. In the post, Streetlight links the release to Mikkeller’s MRC running community and to local runners Sweet & Sour, framing it as a beer born from the city’s running culture.

The beer marks its third straight yearly release. After last year’s Mikkeller Akichi project, the collaboration continued from Streetlight’s base in Sapporo, keeping the running-event connection alive. The concept also ties into the Sapporo Marathon, making the beer feel closely connected to both running and beer culture.

Flavor-wise, Streetlight describes it as having fresh citrus and floral aromas with a light, easy-drinking finish. The recipe was adjusted to bring out even more citrus character this time. It is the kind of beer that fits a post-run toast, or simply a quiet end to the day.
