HopGear Brewing presents itself as a brewery that brings "world beer from Honjo City". On its official site, the company says it began brewing in March 2021 after obtaining a beer production license, and that it aims to produce healthy, tasty, and creative craft beer for a wide range of drinkers. The new release fits that direction, with a hop-forward profile that still seems approachable.

For fans of hop-driven but highly drinkable beers, Motueka Session IPA looks like a release worth watching within HopGear Brewing's lineup.
