Yellow Beer Works, based in Osasao, Fukushima City, is taking part in the Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Beer Festival in Saitama-Shintoshin. The brewery announced the start of its autumn festival appearance through an official Instagram post.
The festival lineup includes Hazy IPA, IPA, Rice lager, Fruit Sour Ale, and Lassi Sour Ale. The selection covers a broad range of styles, from hop-forward beers to fruit-driven and tart offerings. Lassi Sour Ale is highlighted as a recommended beer, offering an approachable option for drinkers interested in a softer, tangier expression beyond conventional bitterness.
Guests can also order a four-beer tasting flight selected from the beers currently on tap for ¥1,800. An eight-beer deluxe tasting set is available as well, making it possible to compare the brewery’s different approaches in one visit. Since the draft lineup may change depending on availability, checking the selection at the booth is advisable.
Yellow Beer Works is a small brewery operated by one of Fukushima City’s largest rice farms. It uses some of its own rice and vegetables, along with locally grown Fukushima fruit, as brewing ingredients. The brewery also produces beers featuring Fukushima-grown hops and aims to create beers that bring a smile to drinkers.
Its festival appearance offers beer fans in the Tokyo metropolitan area a chance to discover the character of a farm-based Fukushima brewery. A tasting flight is a practical place to begin before settling on a favorite glass.
