A spring-friendly white beer enjoyed inside a housing complex

At Gahaha Beer, a brewpub located inside a housing complex in Minamisuna, Koto Ward, Tokyo, white-style beers were in motion alongside its April 7 post. The post referenced the previously popular "Belgian White" and announced that "Blank Slate" had been tapped, bringing a light, refreshing beer to the forefront that fits the air after the rain.

Gahaha Beer is a "brew izakaya" where you can taste house-brewed beer on site. The shop's concept is "beer is something to laugh while drinking," and even though it sits in the somewhat unexpected location of the first floor of a housing complex, its appeal is that you can enjoy craft beer without being uptight. It is also conveniently within walking distance of Toyocho Station, making it an easy stop after work or for daytime drinking on weekends.

The range of beers available is broad, and the regular lineup includes "Baba's Blonde," "Marcy IPA," "Danchi Ale," "Shall Wheat Dance," "Gahaha's Porter," and "Soratabi IPA." With beers of different character such as blonde, IPA, ESB, wheat IPA, and porter, it feels natural to start with the new white-style tap and then move on to the regular offerings.

The food side also reflects the izakaya character that pairs well with beer. Gahaha Beer is known as a place that does seafood dishes and substantial snacks well, so matching those with the crisp drinking feel of a white-style beer should make it especially useful as a meal-time drink.

This post is less about a flashy event announcement and more about plainly introducing the beer currently available at the shop. Precisely because of that, it suits Gahaha Beer's style of enjoying the contrast between a regular beer's personality and a guest beer available only that day.
