A three-week summer beer event in Tsuyama

The 29th National Local Beer Festa 2026 in Tsuyama will be held at Socio Ichibangai Shopping Street on three consecutive Saturdays: July 18, July 25, and August 1, 2026. Hours are 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last orders at 8:30 p.m. The event gathers local and national craft beers, along with food stalls, so visitors can sample different styles in one place.

The festival uses a ticket system. One set costs JPY 2,500 and includes five beer vouchers worth JPY 500 each. Advance tickets are JPY 200 cheaper and are sold at stores in Socio Ichibangai. The format is simple and approachable, making it easy to move between booths and compare beers over the course of an evening.

One brewery that helps define Okayama's local beer scene is Kurashiki Brewing Company, based in Hayashima Town. Its core brand, `OKAYAMA JIMOTO BEER 086®`, focuses on beers inspired by places and landscapes across Okayama. The lineup includes labels such as `OKAYAMA PALE ALE`, `KURASHIKI HAZY IPA`, and `KIBIJI AMBER ALE`, each designed around a different regional image.

The brewery also gained recognition at the 18th Feminalise World Wine Competition in 2024, where it won gold and silver in the Japanese beer category. That combination of local identity and technical credibility makes Kurashiki Brewing Company a fitting example of the kind of brewery culture that festivals like this help support.
