In Step with the Iwakoshima Tomato Festival

Onomichi Brewery is a brewpub in Kubo, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. In a space renovated from a 130-year-old old storehouse, it carefully brews "Made in Onomichi" beer that makes use of Onomichi-grown agricultural and marine products.

This time's star is the seasonal beer "Iwakoshima Tomato Weizen," made with tomatoes from Iwakoshima. It is a wheat beer using tomatoes from Miishan's Farm, Midori Farm, and Masabei Farm, and the tomato-derived acidity comes through cleanly, combining with the soft aroma characteristic of a Weizen to create an easy-to-drink beer for the increasingly hot month of June.

A Pour That Overlaps with Seasonal Ingredients

The 6th Iwakoshima Tomato Festival & Marche is an initiative in which 18 shops in Onomichi City participate from June 1 to 30. Onomichi Brewery's strength is that you can enjoy Iwakoshima tomatoes not only in dishes but also in beer, expressing within one glass the event's theme of "how to savor the season."

House Favorites to Enjoy On Site

On the regular menu, the lineup also includes flagship beers such as Onomichi Ale, Shimanami Golden Ale, and Onomichi IPA. Drop in between strolls around Onomichi and, starting with Iwakoshima Tomato Weizen, taste your way through beers with a distinctly Onomichi sense of ingredients.
