At Saiougauma, a beer pub in Sannomiya, Kobe, STAY GOLD #2 has been tapped as a reinterpretation of its anniversary beer. It is a DDH West Coast IPA with just four kegs available, and the brewery notes pineapple and passion fruit notes from the hops.
Saiougauma, a beer pub in Sannomiya, Kobe, has tapped `STAY GOLD #2`. The beer is presented as a `DDH West Coast IPA` under the `Saiougauma feat.S` name. It is a re-brew of last year’s well-received first-anniversary beer, `STAY GOLD`, with the hops and yeast changed.
The recipe uses `Rahr north star pilsner` and `Rahr white wheat` malt, plus `simcoe`, `citra`, `incognito mosaic`, `incognito citra`, `cryo mosaic`, `nelson sauvin`, and `nelson hop kief` hops. Instead of dip hopping, liquid hop products were added directly to the fermenter, and the yeast was switched from `NOVALAGAR` to `chico ale yeast`.
The result is described as dry and hop-forward. The post highlights pineapple and passion fruit-like hop character, and the beer is limited to four kegs. It is a focused guest pour for drinkers who want a clear, hop-driven West Coast profile in Sannomiya.
