TAP&CROWLER, a beer pub in Udagawacho, Shibuya, Tokyo, will host CBB BREWING LAB SESSION on Saturday, August 8, featuring CRAFT BEER BASE's brewing research division, BREWING LAB.

The post frames the event around the idea that beer becomes more interesting when you understand the reasons behind it. For drinkers who like to go beyond flavor and explore how a beer is made, the setting feels well matched.

On the day, the pub plans to pour a BREWING LAB-only lineup across nine taps. The program is built around three themes:

- `BASE`
- A look at the four major countries of beer origin: the United States, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
- `Structural Breakdown`
- Experimental beers that focus entirely on specific ingredients and brewing methods, taking the process apart and refining it.
- `Wa`
- Japan-focused creations using ingredients such as koji and sake yeast, exploring where craft beer might go next.

There will also be a BREWING LAB brewing study session using the in-store monitor. CRAFT BEER BASE owner Tani-san will explain, in his own words, why a beer tastes the way it does, why a certain method was chosen, and what a Japanese beer might be.

Set in central Shibuya, the event combines tasting and learning in one place. It is a good opportunity to experience CRAFT BEER BASE's research-driven approach through both the tap list and the presentation.
