Easy-Drinking Hazies for the Day After the Fireworks

"BiaMa Kitasenju" is recommending guest beers to enjoy on the day after the fireworks. Located near Kitasenju Station, the shop is known for its wide selection of craft beers from around the world and is a beer pub where people can drop in casually, almost like standing-room drinking.

Today's recommendations are three hazies that the shop recently drank and found delicious. All three have a pronounced fruit character, yet the mouthfeel is not too heavy, making them an easy pick as the weather gets hotter.

Featured Guest Beers

- Fetish Club / Museum
Juicy fruit notes reminiscent of orange and pear, with restrained haze. It doesn't feel cloying, so it seems approachable even for people who aren't used to hazies.

- Toppling Goliath / King Sue
Centered on a rich fruit character like mango, peach, and marmalade. It also has a slight green note, which nicely supports the heavier mouthfeel. The price has apparently been kept a little lower now that it comes by ship instead of air.

- Fauve / Parfum Exotique
A DDH hazy double made with New Zealand hops. It carries impressions of white grapes and citrus, with restrained sweetness. A touch of bitterness tightens the finish, making it feel less alcoholic than it is.

Also newly tapped from the keg is Yuya Boys / Flower Children Sakura. It's being introduced as a light, crisp IPA that suits the hot season now getting underway.

The interior combines the ease of being able to stop by casually near the station with the fun of choosing from a rich craft-beer lineup. Takeout is also available, so it's easy to enjoy a pint in the shop and then choose beer for home drinking. It's a good fit for a day in Kitasenju when the crowds have thinned out and you want to compare hazies.
