AndBeer taps Koenji Citrava's 7th-anniversary beer "Shekina Maibee"
At the brewpub AndBeer in Koenji, Tokyo, the 7th-anniversary beer "Shekina Maibee" for Craft Beer Sakaba Citrava's Koenji location was announced. A May 13 (Wed.) post also said the venue will take part in the Asagaya Nomiya-san Festival and the Keyaki Hiroba Beer Festival.
The brewpub AndBeer in Koenji-kita, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, shared its service information for Wednesday, May 13, along with details of its guest beer offerings.
The featured recommendation for the day was "Shekina Maibee". It is a beer commemorating the 7th anniversary of Craft Beer Sakaba Citrava's Koenji branch, and is said to stand out for its faint jasmine tea aroma and crisp finish made with Niigata-grown Koshihikari rice. It was introduced as a pint-friendly beer, the kind you would want to enjoy slowly alongside a meal.
AndBeer is open straight through from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. that day, making it easy to use across lunch, afternoon downtime, and dinner. It also supports takeout beer. At the counter, drinks can be taken home in plastic bottles, plastic cups, or growlers, and the terrace allows dogs and cats. True to a brewpub, it is flexible enough not only for drinking inside, but also for casual use around town.
On the food side, the menu includes dishes with pronounced aroma and spice, such as lamb and oyster mapo biryani, bai makrut coconut chicken, and lotus root and udo dal. If you are pairing it with craft beer, an aromatic lager to reset the palate while picking at spicy dishes and fried food little by little sounds like the best way to enjoy it.
The post also said that in addition to taking part in the Asagaya Nomiya-san Festival, it will join the Keyaki Hiroba Beer Festival, held from Wednesday, May 13 through Sunday, May 17. With a beer to enjoy in Koenji and a major beer event on the calendar, this became a service update that local beer fans would not want to miss.
