Open Air Minatoyama Brewery (Hyogo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) is a brewery located inside “NATURE STUDIO,” a mixed-use complex built on the former site of Minatoyama Elementary School. Centered on making seasonal beers, it has been proposing ways to enjoy beer that are open to the local community.

This time’s “open table vol.05” is a Golden Week special edition of the series. On Wednesday, May 6, participants will go inside the brewery, tour the facilities, and actually touch the ingredients, experiencing the process by which beer is made. After the tour, a tasting will be held inside the brewery, with the added appeal of enjoying the beers while looking out at the tanks. Compared with the usual open table, this session goes a step further and is designed to give people a chance to learn more about beer.

There will be two sessions: 1) 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 2) 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Each session is limited to 15 people and requires advance reservation only. Reservations will be accepted from 12:00 p.m. on April 11 through the open air online store. Payment is credit card only, and participants cannot join both sessions consecutively.

On the same day, “open yard” will also be held at the NATURE STUDIO Market Plaza. This event requires no reservation and is free to enter, offering beer, drinks, and light snacks in a casual setting. Combined with the brewery tour, it looks set to be a day when visitors can soak in the atmosphere of the entire facility.
