Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand, a brewery-adjacent venue in Honkomagome, Bunkyo Ward, is a beer stand and bottle shop centered on counter and standing service. It is a place where you can usually enjoy Japanese craft beer, and its hours are weekdays 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., weekends and holidays 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with Wednesdays closed.

In its May 31 (Sunday) post, the venue shared the day’s “Today’s on Tap.” Of the 10 taps, the names of 8 beers were confirmed: Sauvin Belgo, Pepepepe, Seiten Raimei #2, Yunosu Saison, Komagome Brown, Komagome Best Bitter, EL BAMP HAZY, and Kurodori #4. The style labels are also broad, ranging from American Belgo Style Ale, Norwegian Farmhouse Ale, West coast IPA, Yuzu Sour Saison, Brown Saison, English Best Bitter, Hazy IPA, to Belgian Stout, making for a lineup that covers everything from bright, easy-drinking beers to rich dark ales.

Particularly eye-catching are Yunosu Saison, a sour saison made with yuzu; Sauvin Belgo and Seiten Raimei #2, which put their hop character front and center; and Kurodori #4, a Belgian Stout that feels perfect as a finishing beer. The list also includes beers with familiar, place-based names like Komagome Brown and Komagome Best Bitter, making it easy to trace the brewery’s style through a tasting lineup. It offers both the casual feel of a beer bar and the appeal unique to a brewpub of checking out the beers that are on tap right now.
