NEIGHBOUR Roast&Brew, on the first floor of ANA Crowne Plaza Sapporo, has highlighted its second summer original beer, Kuriyama Hirune Ale. The venue's official site describes it as a place where visitors can enjoy Abashiri Beer on draft alongside seasonal originals, making beer a central part of the experience.
Kuriyama Hirune Ale
The new release is a cream ale with 5.0% ABV and 15 IBU. According to the post, it combines corn grits sourced from Kuriyama, Hokkaido, with a bright Cascade aroma. The result is positioned as a beer with gentle sweetness and a fresh citrus character, built for the warmer months.
Brewery work for this original beer was again handled by Mr. Hatakeyama (@hokkaido_beer_porter). The post frames the beer as something that invites another sip quickly, while still feeling relaxed enough for an easy afternoon drink.
JOURNEY Taps Updated
Two JOURNEY beers were also swapped in at the same time.
- Mikata Pale Ale: OGA BREWING, Tokyo
- Schwarz: Harvest Moon, Chiba
The update fits NEIGHBOUR Roast&Brew's broader concept: a place where beer brings people together. By pairing a Hokkaido ingredient-driven seasonal original with guest beers from other breweries, the venue is keeping its lineup varied as summer continues.
