Yamato Brewing announced on Instagram that it will have a booth at the “KIGEN Japanese Sake Fest,” to be held at the Nara Prefectural Convention Center from May 29, 2026. Yamato Brewing announced that it will exhibit at the “KIGEN Japanese Sake Fest,” a sake event originating in Nara. The venue is the Nara Prefectural Convention Center, and the event will run for three days, with the eve festival on May 29, 2026 and the main festival on May 30 and 31.
In the post, it explains that Yamato Brewing was launched as a new business by Kintetsu Retailing, and that four people selected through an internal open call opened the brewery and restaurant from scratch. It noted that the business is now in its sixth year and that last year it also opened Shima Brewing as a second brewery, showing how the operation has expanded.
As for its brewing philosophy, it emphasizes making beer that people can keep drinking for a second or third glass without getting tired of it, in other words, a focus on drinkability. Even though it is taking part in a sake festival, the post also included a message encouraging people to start by enjoying the beer first.
On its official website, Yamato Brewing describes itself as a craft beer brewery in Nara City with the goal of conveying the deliciousness and enjoyment of beer. It also operates locations such as the Nara Sanjo-dori store, the Kintetsu Nara Station front store, and the Yamato Saidaiji Station store, reflecting efforts to expand a locally rooted craft beer culture. This booth appearance is also likely to draw attention for how it showcases the presence of craft beer within a festival centered on sake.
