Tokyo Aleworks Itabashi Heel Lager is tapped at Meguro Republic
Meguro Republic Burger&Beer, a beer pub two minutes from Meguro Station's east exit, has tapped Tokyo Aleworks' Itabashi Heel Lager. The German-style pilsner draws on Itabashi's brewing heritage and pairs naturally with the venue's burger-focused lineup.

Tokyo Aleworks is a brewery that aims to share the appeal of true craft beer from Itabashi, once known as one of Edo's gateways, and to build a community that connects Itabashi with the world. Its direct "Station Taproom" in Yurakucho is also known for pairing craft beer with burgers.
Itabashi Heel Lager is inspired by Itabashi, a district associated with some of the earliest beer production in Tokyo. It is a clean German-style pilsner, and its name comes from the old term "heel beer" used for beer at the time. The label uses a modern ukiyo-e illustration that travels through Tokyo landmarks, giving the beer a distinctly Tokyo feel before the first sip.
Meguro Republic Burger&Beer is only a two-minute walk from Meguro Station's east exit. The pub keeps 7 to 8 taps on draft and more than 100 bottled craft beers, alongside burgers served in the same room. With sports viewing, solo visits, and group gatherings all fitting naturally into the space, it is a practical stop for anyone who wants a crisp pilsner with a burger rather than drinking in isolation.
