New arrivals announced at Beer Mart Kitasenju

Beer Mart Kitasenju in Senju, Adachi Ward, Tokyo, shared its new arrivals and draft tap lineup in an April post. Describing itself as the "crossroads of craft beer in Kitasenju," the shop positions itself to welcome everyone from people looking for something light to serious beer drinkers, and today's lineup clearly reflects that breadth.

New bottles and cans

From Japan, three beers arrived from 808 Brewery. The post says Pilsner, Saison, and IPA are all available, making them well suited to the almost-summer weather. From Ise Kadoya, two beers are featured: a refreshing Italian Pilsner and a full-bodied Triple IPA.

From Scotland's Harviestoun comes Ooraduh 18. It is a stout aged in Highland Park 18-year casks, and was presented as an easy recommendation for whisky fans as well.

New draft taps

On draft, Smog City / Kanpai from Torrance, Forbe / Oceane Indian, Double Vision / Mud Eye, Kagiya Brewing / Mellow Yellow, and A.J.B. / Beer for Peace are now available. Kanpai from Torrance is described as orange- and tropical-leaning, Oceane Indian as lychee and grapefruit, and Mud Eye as having bold mango, peach, and marmalade flavors.

Mellow Yellow is an easy-drinking hazy with restrained sweetness and bitterness, while Beer for Peace is a golden ale made in collaboration with a pizza shop and suited to pairing with food. Since snack pizzas are also available in the shop, it's an easy lineup to enjoy alongside beer.

If you want to compare everything from classic styles to aromatic draft pours in Kitasenju, this is a very handy spot.
