The brewpub Inabiya Chiba Inage Beer in Inage Ward, Chiba City, has updated its operating schedule for the holiday period. According to an Instagram post, the beer event planned for Toyosuna Park on May 4 has been canceled because severe weather is expected. At the same time, the shop will open from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that day as a regular holiday service, and will switch to reduced-hours service from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the 5th and 6th.
On the 5th and 6th, customers are also welcome to pick up food from places such as the renovated Perie Inage and bring it with them, making the most of the time now freed up since the event booth was canceled by enjoying beer slowly inside the shop. For the latter half of the holiday, it will be an easy place to stop by after shopping nearby.
Inabiya opened in July 2023 as a brewpub with its own brewery. The shop is located along Sengen-dori in Inage Higashi, Inage Ward, Chiba City, and is run by Takahiro Okamura, who was involved in launching Knōnan Beer and trained at a brewery in Shimane. Another feature is its shop concept, which values local memories and conversation starters, such as giving beers names related to Inage. This change can also be seen as a decision made to ensure that the holiday period remains enjoyable for a community-rooted shop.
