ACRUX#2 goes on tap at Hangout

Hangout, a beer pub in Hiroshima, has put TAROS BREWING’s new beer, ACRUX#2, on tap. In the July 15, 2026 post, the venue notes that it opens at 5:00 p.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m., and says the new beer has been pouring since the day before.

ACRUX#2 is a TDH hazy IPA with an ABV of 5.5%. The hop bill includes Waimea, Nelson Sauvin, Peacharine, Riwaka, and Galaxy. It is presented as a beer suited to hot weather, with a profile built for an easy first sip and a satisfying second one.

The aroma notes are quite specific: Sauvignon Blanc, grapefruit, peach, and guava, followed by mango- and pineapple-like aromas on the palate. The beer is described as smooth, free of rough edges, and light on its feet, while still offering more depth than its alcohol strength might suggest.

TAROS BREWING’s own explanation adds more context. The brewery uses a low-protein Australian base malt, increases the wheat proportion slightly, and adjusts fermentation and conditioning to bring out more yeast character. The hops are sourced only from New Zealand and Australia, and they are added at different stages to build complexity.

Because Hangout is attached to TAROS BREWING, it offers a direct line to what the brewery is currently pouring. For drinkers looking for a fresh, aromatic hazy IPA in Hiroshima, ACRUX#2 is an easy one to put on the list.
