Trial opening on August 9
BEERSONIC in Takasago, Fukuoka, will host a special collaboration event called “Bread and Beer Day” with SKAKSTAND on Sunday, August 9, starting at 10:00 a.m. The shop says it is a trial opening, with a view to making it a regular event in the future. The store will be closed on Friday and Saturday due to an off-site event.
The beers featured this time come from Kumamoto Craft Beer, a brewery founded in 1997 in Kumamoto City. The brewery uses pristine underground water from Kumamoto and continues to make beer in a traditional style with 100% malt and no adjuncts. BEERSONIC will sell three styles:
- Pilsner
- Pale Ale
- Weizen
Bread will be baked by Sugimoto from SKAKSTAND, pairing with the beer lineup. For the shop owner, August 9 carries a special meaning as well, and the message is not to make the day overly solemn, but to share a calm, comfortable time over good bread and beer.
BEERSONIC is known as a craft beer shop tucked into a back alley in Takasago. Music plays inside, and shelves are filled with domestic and international craft beers. The shop usually guides customers by asking what kind of mood they are in, making it approachable even for people who are not deep into beer. This trial event fits the store’s role as a place where beer connects people and the neighborhood.
