Two-Day Tasting Event for Four Lupicia Yotei Mountain Foothills Beers at Nemoto Saketen Starts April 4
A Lupicia Yotei Mountain Foothills Beer tasting event will be held for two days, April 4 and 5, at Nemoto Saketen in Susukino, Sapporo. The lineup includes free tastings of four canned beers, purchases, four draft beers for side-by-side comparison, and a limited-price four-bottle set, with the brewer also scheduled to appear.
A special event featuring Lupicia Yotei Mountain Foothills Beer will be held at the beer pub Nemoto Saketen in the COCONO SUSUKINO B1F area of Chuo Ward, Sapporo. The event runs for two days, Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, from 12:00 to 21:00. The post introduces it as a "special event commemorating the renewal and can release," and the brewer is also expected to visit that day.
The highlight this time is a lineup that can be enjoyed in both can and draft form. There will be free tastings of four canned beers, and they can also be purchased on the spot. Four draft beers will be available for on-site tasting, priced at 300 ml for 900 yen and 1,400 yen for a four-beer comparison set (about 22% off the regular 1,800 yen). In addition, a four-bottle set for 3,430 yen (tax included) (about 7% off the regular 3,680 yen) will be available, making it easy to take home a batch for drinking later.
The lineup consists of the following four beers:
- Nisecoise (Hazy IPA / 6.5%)
A Hazy IPA characterized by sweet, juicy hop aromas reminiscent of peach and guava. Its lingering citrus-like bitterness is pleasantly smooth.
- Niseko Pilsner (Pilsner / 4.5%)
A pilsner with a refreshing, floral aroma reminiscent of lemongrass. Light, white-grape-like sweetness spreads through the palate.
- Niseko Ale (American Pale Ale / 5.5%)
An easy-drinking pale ale with sweet aromas reminiscent of pineapple and ripe orange. Well balanced between malt and hops, it is a classic ale that never gets tiresome.
- Hokudai Apple (Fruits Ale / 5.0%)
A fruit ale made generously with apple juice from Hokkaido University and Yoichi Orchard. Its sweetness and acidity are in harmony, and part of the sales will be used to support research at Hokkaido University.
As befits Nemoto Saketen, a casually accessible spot in Susukino, the appeal this time is being able to taste while hearing directly from the makers. Whether you are looking for a likely staple after the renewal or want to compare the differences between draft and canned beer, this is a chance you won't want to miss, with four varieties available to compare all at once.
