Hangout, a beer pub in the Shinntenchi area of Hiroshima's Naka Ward, opened on Tuesday, June 2 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. As a venue attached to TAROS BREWING, the bar's tap list reflects the brewery's house character in a direct way.
The headline beer of the day was ARTEMIS, a new release poured ahead of its official launch. It is an Imperial Red Ale at 7.0% ABV, brewed with Amarillo, Cryo Citra, Cryo Mosaic, Chinook, and Nelson Sauvin. The brewery describes it with notes of blood orange, pine resin, and pear, layered with caramel, brown sugar, and a long finish that recalls amber candy and orange peel. The beer is built on several kinds of caramel malt, giving it a solid body.
The full `NOW ON TAP` lineup also included:
- `WRATH OF THEM#2 / TDH Hazy IPA`
- `WAVE FLOWER#3 / Coconut Vanilla IPL`
- `AWAKENING#4 / TDH Hazy IPA`
- `INNOCENCE2026 / Sour Ale with Lemon,Chamomile`
- `TOPOLOGY#10 / DDH Hazy IPA`
- `GHOST NOTE#4 / TDH Hazy IPA` (last keg)
- `SUCKER PUNCH3 / Apple Pie Sour` (last keg)
With two beers down to their final keg and styles ranging from hop-forward Hazy IPAs to a lemon-and-chamomile sour and an apple pie-inspired sour, the board offered a wide spread for drinkers who like to compare different expressions side by side. Hangout is closed on Mondays, and hours may change depending on brewing schedules, so checking the bar's social media before visiting is the safest move.
