Baird Brewery Gardens Shuzenji is Baird Beer’s home brewery, set along the Kano River in Shuzenji, Izu City, Shizuoka. The tasting room opened in June 2014, and the site combines brewing with a close connection to nature.

In the latest Instagram post, brewer Savannah shared a summer update from the brewery. She said that Summer, the youngest of Baird’s four sisters, is helping out during her final summer break from mid-June through September. A new team member also joined in July, giving the brewery extra support during the busiest part of the season.

Savannah herself is currently on leave. She noted that Baird’s third-generation junior, a baby boy, is due at the end of the month. She had continued working on brewing duties until mid-June, but is now taking it easy while looking forward to the day she can enjoy beer again.

The post also confirmed that Baird’s 26th anniversary festival will be held over the three-day holiday weekend from July 18 to 20. Three special beers will be tapped for the first time, and a new recipe from Masaki is also scheduled to appear. It is a seasonal milestone that ties together the brewery’s family story, its team, and the place itself.

The gardens setting in Shuzenji, with camping available on-site, remains a distinctive backdrop for events like this one.
