Two Kegs Tapped at Once at Hiranoya Sake Shop / Beer Stand Hiranoya in Shinsen
Hiranoya Sake Shop / Beer Stand Hiranoya in Shinsen announced on Instagram that it had tapped two kegs at once. Side by side are the New Zealand hazy IPA "Fog Father" and the anniversary original amber lager "12th Demon Snake Amber," brewed in Mishima, along with a note that the last keg is also available.
Details of the Two-Keg Tap
Hiranoya Sake Shop / Beer Stand Hiranoya posted an update about its rotating draft beer lineup. This time, it is a double keg tap. The first is Fog Father from New Zealand's Double Vision Brewing. It is a hazy IPA with 6.1% ABV, featuring a hop design built around Riwaka, Cascade, and Sabro, and the post describes it as having a rich mouthfeel thanks to oats and wheat. In addition to tropical and citrus notes, it is a beer layered with passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, and coconut.
The second is the original beer 12th Demon Snake Amber, brewed to celebrate the shop's 12th anniversary. This amber lager was brewed at fete(フェット) Mishima Brewery in Mishima, Shizuoka, and uses that brewery's regular beer Fuji Rouge as its base. The post described it as a beer with a well-balanced interplay of bitterness, sweetness, aroma, body, and aftertaste, making it easy to keep drinking without getting tired of it.
The Shop's Appeal
Hiranoya Sake Shop / Beer Stand Hiranoya is a beer stand attached to a liquor store, within walking distance of Shinsen Station. It is a small shop with a counter and standing drinking space, and its appeal lies in being able to enjoy draft beer casually and without pretension. A lineup like this, pairing imported craft beer with the shop's original beer at the same time, is very much in keeping with the shop's style. The post also noted that there is only one keg left, so anyone interested should check it out soon.
