On May 3, Want a Beer will be open from 12:00 to 23:00, with last order at 22:00. Reservations are accepted via LINE from the profile section, and the post notes that replies to Instagram DMs may be delayed. As a beer pub in Motoimaizumi, Utsunomiya, it feels like the kind of day where you can drop in casually from midday and slowly enjoy beer and food.

On the food side that day, white fish and oregano spaghetti is making its debut. It features white fish seared well for a crisp browned finish, layered with the richness of white wine and lifted by the aroma of fresh oregano. Other dishes on the lineup include Choshi-sourced surf clam and snap pea spaghetti, smoked mackerel with homemade ricotta cheese, medai and lemon carpaccio, sakura shrimp zeppoline, and an oyster butter omelet, all easy to pair with beer.

The tap list has six beers in total. The range runs from hop-forward IPAs to fruity sours and a light-drinking pilsner.

- Full Throttle / Hoppu Kotan
American IPA, ABV 6.0%. A hoppy, bitter beer with a satisfying bite and a tropical finish.
- Heaven's Age / Black Tide Brewing
A Milky Hazy IPA collaboration with Teenage Brewing, ABV 6.5%. It is defined by a milky mouthfeel, tropical aroma, and firm bitterness.
- Kinoni Pale Ale Krush Single Ver. / Oni Densetsu

- Moonwalk / THE KICHI
A Want a Beer collaboration West Coast Pilsner, ABV 5.6%. Bright citrus and piney aromas with a crisp bitterness make it lively.

Looking at the depth of the food menu and the range of taps, Want a Beer's strength is that it can center beer while still building out a proper meal around it. It looks set to be a day with plenty of ways to enjoy the place, from daytime drinking to food pairings to multiple rounds of tasting.
