In Ibusuki City, Ibusuki Brewery is cultivating a new food and drink destination at the former Tokumitsu Elementary School site as a craft beer brewery, preserving memories of the school building while creating something new. At the adjoining Former School Kitchen Mugi to Niwa, it highlights meals made with local ingredients paired with craft beer, making the former school itself part of the experience.

What was announced on Instagram this time was the booth lineup for the 1st anniversary festival at Mugi to Niwa. On the day of the event, beer and soft drinks will be offered at 1st-anniversary prices at the Mugi to Niwa booth. The lineup includes draft beers of IPA, lager, Kölsch, and orange ale, plus 3-beer and 4-beer tasting sets, soft drinks, coffee floats, and cream soda. According to the announcement, only drinks will be sold that day, while food will be enjoyed on the food court side or through other routes within the venue.

The brewery's official website says a 1st anniversary event is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, with booths using second-floor classrooms and live performances, as well as outdoor food trucks and a food court. In a space that makes use of the former school, the structure that brings together local vendors and visitors around craft beer is a fitting anniversary project for this brewery. Against the backdrop of Ibusuki's land and the memories of the school building, how beer and food are presented is the question. That answer also comes through in this latest booth introduction.
