BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY Releases New Ginger Chili IPA
BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY has announced its new Ginger Chili IPA, a 6.0% West Coast IPA brewed with ginger and jalapeño. Built around pleasant bitterness and a dry finish, the beer combines tropical hop character with fresh green notes and a gentle warming spice impression.
BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY in Kyojima, Sumida, Tokyo, has announced a new beer: Ginger Chili IPA.
The beer is a West Coast IPA with an ABV of 6.0% and 43 IBU. Brewed with ginger and jalapeño, it pours a bright pale yellow. Its first impression is a fresh, green jalapeño aroma, while the heat remains restrained enough to keep the beer crisp and easy to drink.
A pleasant bitterness and dry finish form the backbone of the beer. Krush, used as the main hop, brings a tropical, fruit-forward character, while gentle sweetness and bitterness provide balance. Fresh jalapeño notes and a subtle ginger character add an additional layer without overwhelming the IPA profile.
As the beer develops on the palate, the finish remains dry, followed by a delicate ginger aroma and a mild warming sensation. Rather than focusing solely on spice, the beer is designed to retain the drinkability and structure of a classic West Coast IPA.
The recipe uses Pilsner malt, Krush, Citra, and Simcoe hops, with BRY-97 yeast.
Located in Narihira, close to Tokyo Skytree, BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY offers a local setting for exploring the brewery’s beers. Ginger Chili IPA should appeal to drinkers looking for a hop-forward beer with a measured jalapeño freshness and a distinctive ginger finish.
