The beer pub Beer shop Llama in Shimorenjaku, Mitaka, announced new arrivals on Instagram on March 20, 2026. This time, it brought in four distinct beers from Miyazaki's NOVORU Brewing.

This release is structured so you can follow a flavor gradient that moves through citrus, tropical fruit, white grape, and herbal notes. It should appeal not only to IPA fans, but also to anyone who wants to compare different hop profiles side by side.

Newly arrived beers

- Warau (West Coast IPA / ABV 7.0%)
Built around the citrus and tropical character of Mosaic and Citra, with a clear-drinking finish and sharp bitterness.
- Mekuru (Extra Pale Ale / ABV 5.0%)
Uses Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. Designed for easy drinking, with aromas reminiscent of white grape and bright citrus nuances.
- Haziku (DDH Hazy IPA / ABV 6.5%)
An aroma-forward beer that layers tropical notes recalling ripe pineapple with impressions of white grape and lime.
- Noviru II (DDH NZ IPA / ABV 6.5%)
A collaboration with BMB Brewery. The expansive bitterness of NZ Cascade is joined by Motueka's lime and herbal qualities, plus Nelson Sauvin's white grape and gooseberry elements.

Beer shop Llama is one of the places on the western side of Tokyo where you can steadily keep up with domestic and international craft beer. When multiple beers from the same brewery arrive together like this, it is a great chance to experience that brewery's design philosophy all at once. For a weekend drink, this looks like the kind of release you'll want to try one style after another.
