Four original beers in a historic house

Yanaka Beer Hall is a beer pub located in Uenosakuragi, Taito City, inside a folk house built in 1938. The exterior keeps a strong downtown Tokyo feel, while the interior is air-conditioned, making it easy to relax with a beer even in the heat.

The Instagram post highlights the bar’s original tasting set, which lets guests compare four house beers side by side:

- Yanaka Dry (Light Pilsner)
- Yanaka Weizen (Weizen)
- Yanaka Golden (Golden Ale)
- Yanaka Beer (Altbier)

The lineup clearly spans different beer styles, from the crisp Yanaka Dry to the wheat-driven Yanaka Weizen, the clean and easy-drinking Yanaka Golden, and the fuller-bodied Yanaka Beer. A tasting set like this makes it easy to compare aroma, bitterness, malt character, and mouthfeel in one sitting.

The bar is part of the Uenosakuragi area, inside the "Uenosakuragi Atari" complex, so it fits naturally into a walk through Yanaka and the surrounding neighborhoods. For beer fans, the appeal is straightforward: a historic setting, a comfortable interior, and a house lineup designed for side-by-side tasting.
