Saien Micro Brewery takes reservations for a summer hors d'oeuvre set
Saien Micro Brewery with Kitchen in Morioka is now taking reservations for a limited summer hors d'oeuvre set made with ingredients from Iwate. The offering also comes with options that include draught beer, making it a fit for Obon gatherings.
Saien Micro Brewery with Kitchen in Morioka is taking reservations for a limited-time item, "Baeren to Tanoshimu Natsu no Hors d'Oeuvre". The restaurant is a pub brewery produced by Baeren Brewery, and it serves house-brewed beer alongside food in central Morioka.
The set is aimed at people looking to make the Obon table feel a little more special. The hors d'oeuvre alone costs 4,200 yen (tax included). Two beer pairings are also available: 5,000 yen with one draught beer and 6,500 yen with three draught beers. The format is designed for families and relatives gathering at home, with fresh beer poured at the counter as part of the offering.
The menu includes roast of Morioka Kuroki pork, sea bream and Zenmaru shiitake mushroom wrapped in bacon, Iwate chicken thigh sauté with ratatouille, Polestar Farm sausage, pickles made with Baeren beer and prosciutto, and shrimp with summer vegetables in basil marinade. The selection mixes meat, fish, and vegetables, making it easy to pair with beer.
Reservations are required five days in advance. Sales run through August 31, and the shop notes that reservations may be concentrated during the August 13 to 16 Obon period, so early booking is recommended. Inquiries: 019-606-0171.
