BEER NOVA on March 21

BEER NOVA, located in Higashinaka-cho, Urawa Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, will be open on Saturday, March 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Food L.O. is 10:15 p.m. and drink L.O. is 10:30 p.m., and the post says there is "plenty of seating available." It also serves burgers, making it an easygoing place for casual meals in a beer-pub style.

There are two new taps for the day.
- Hoppukotan Brewery of Kamifurano, Hokkaido: "CoCo麦"
- Yorocco Beer of Kamakura, Kanagawa: "Brown Saison"

"CoCo麦" is a wheat ale brewed with coconut steeped into the beer, and it is the kind that delivers a definite coconut character rather than just a faint aroma. "Brown Saison" is a brown saison made with five kinds of malt at different roast levels, offering richness while still pairing easily as a food beer. Both are structured so they can be enjoyed on their own or alongside food.

Other taps include VERTERE's "Salix," "10th Anniversary Grape Sour," "Tilia," "Efrenia," "Viola Sera," "Iris," "Frustum," "Casimiroa," and "Coffea," as well as Chuckanut Brewery's "Pilsner" and Y.MARKET x BEER HUNTING URAWA's "Captain Mark." In addition, local Urawa labels such as U.B.P BREWERY's "Rara Kölsch," "Iroha," "Raspberry Light," "THE HOME & AWAY CS GOSE," "Woohoo!," and "URAWA CITY ALE" are also well represented.

The food lineup has a spring feel, with house-made frankfurter sausages, carpaccio of Aomori salmon and ponkan, spaghetti with Toyama firefly squid and rapeseed blossoms, and Basque cheesecake with Fukuoka amaou strawberries and gorgonzola. It is a very BEER NOVA kind of setup, with beer at the center and food that is just as enjoyable.
