drifter's stand, a compact beer pub in Togoshi Ginza, Tokyo, highlighted two new releases from Faló Brewing in Miyagi's Yamamoto area. The beers are Obake, an IPA built around Mosaic hops, and Ambai (Ume Shio Sour), a sour beer made with local Nanko plums and salt. Together, they fit Faló Brewing's "Clean, Crisp, Crashable" idea very neatly.

Obake leans on a balanced IPA profile: moderate fruitiness, firm bitterness, and a finish that stays clean. The brewery description points to berry-like notes and a dank edge, so this is not a loud, sugary IPA. Instead, it aims for a modern, everyday-drinkable hop character that still has enough depth to keep each sip interesting.

Ambai takes a different route. It layers the soft aroma of plum with gentle acidity, then adds a light touch of spice and herbs. The result is a sour with more complexity than a simple tart profile, even drawing a Coca-Cola-like impression in the shop's notes. That contrast is exactly what makes a guest beer lineup worthwhile at a small venue like drifter's stand: one beer focuses on hop structure, the other on acidity and aroma, and both reward side-by-side tasting.
