IBREW Ebisu Ekimae Store Announces 7 New Taps, with 3 VERTERE Beers Opened
CRAFT BEER BAR IBREW Ebisu Ekimae Store revealed its new beers on tap for the day in a March 19 post. In addition to three VERTERE beers, the lineup includes MANGOSTEEN BREWING LAB, West Coast Brewing, Bighand Bros. Beer, and COEDO, making it possible to explore a wide range of styles all at once.
CRAFT BEER BAR IBREW Ebisu Ekimae Store (Ebisu Minami, Shibuya Ward) announced the day’s new tap openings in an Instagram post on March 19, 2026. The post opens with the story, "A customer who works at @fortgeorgebeer came in," and it is striking how naturally it connects to the broader context of overseas craft beer culture.
The new tap lineup has the kind of composition that really highlights this shop’s enjoyment of comparing beers side by side. From VERTERE in Okutama, they tapped three beers: Passiflora, a Hazy IPA at 7%; Efulensia, an IPA at 6%; and Iris, a Cold IPA at 6.5%. From juicy to crisp, you can trace the differences in expression within a single brewery.
Also on the board are KINDAN NOKAJITU from Yamanashi’s MANGOSTEEN BREWING LAB (Weizen with La France, 5%), Alive from Shizuoka’s West Coast Brewing (West Coast IPA, 7%), Ebichika Night from Kyoto’s Bighand Bros. Beer (Golden Ale with Lemon, 4.6%), and Ruri from Saitama’s COEDO (Pilsner, 5%), giving the lineup a balance that does not lean too heavily toward hazy beers.
As befits a basement-floor beer pub, this lineup works both for digging deep into a single glass and for moving briskly through several styles. The post also mentions in-house event information, including BEAT & BREW on March 22 and a tap takeover scheduled for March 28 to 29, making it an announcement that creates not only reasons to visit that day but also motivation to come back again soon.
