Uchu Brewing's Tropical Guest Beer

From "Bottle Shop Washu IPPON" on the first basement floor of Yokosuka More's City in Yokosuka Chuo, Uchu Brewing's "Uchu PARADISE SMOOTHIE" has arrived. The in-store notice lists it at 1,147 yen for 350 ml, and introduces it as a smoothie-sour-style sparkling drink with a strong fruit character, combining mango, peach, passion fruit, guava, and coconut cream.

Even just looking at the way the fruits are layered, it is clear that the design is aimed less at putting sweetness front and center and more at creating a tropical aroma and a dense mouthfeel. As its "SMOOTHIE" name suggests, it is a brew that seems intended to lean toward dessert-like enjoyment rather than making beer-like bitterness the star.

A Shop That Crosses Sake and Craft Beer

Washu IPPON is a beer pub known as a specialty shop for Japanese sake and craft beer. Inside, in addition to carefully selected sake from across Japan, customers can also enjoy craft beer. It also features Miura Peninsula's first Japanese-sake vending machine server, giving it an easygoing feel that makes it easy to stop by while shopping or on the way home from work.

When a guest beer like this is added to the lineup, the shop's appeal expands even further. Even though it has a strong sake image, it also serves as a place where craft beer fans can discover new labels.

A Beer to Enjoy in Yokosuka Chuo

Its convenient location, easily accessible from Yokosuka-Chuo Station, also supports the shop's usability. Though it sits in the basement floor of More's City along a daily route, once you pick up a glass, your mood instantly shifts into bar mode. Anchored in sake but able to add unique craft beers like this one, that is what Washu IPPON is all about.

You can try Uchu Brewing's fruity, rich flavors at a counter in Yokosuka Chuo. For both sake lovers and beer lovers, it was a post that made you want to look for the "next drink" waiting just beyond the shelf.
