Osaka's Sonezaki beer pub umbrella opens on Saturday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. In a post that mentioned 'It's raining, huh?' and also included a little anecdote about picking up Lipton lemon tea and milk tea after heading to work, the bar shared its opening notice.

The day's new tap is one keg: Minoh Beer 'Blooming IPA' (Osaka, 6.0%). It is listed as a Belgian IPA and has joined the bar's taps. Inside the pub, the following kegs are being announced, including this one.

- Akkeshi Coast IPA / Yuitorieru (Hokkaido) West Coast IPA
- Awaawa Sour / Kamigata Beer (Osaka) Sour Ale
- Blooming IPA / Minoh Beer (Osaka) Belgian IPA
- Draught Guinness / Guinness (Ireland) Draught Guinness
- Kirin Lager / Kirin Beer Lager

umbrella is an underground beer pub, and the post notes that Guinness pints are okay downstairs at umbrella too. While it focuses on craft beer, it also keeps staples like Draught Guinness and Kirin Lager on tap, making the range of styles easy to see. Beer tickets are also on sale: 5,800 yen for six smallest-size pours of craft beer, valid for six months from the date of purchase, and available while supplies last.

Upcoming plans were also announced: the bar will be closed on Sunday, April 5 and Sunday, April 12. A 'Basement Bar umbrella 15th Party' is also planned for Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. If you want to track the rotating taps in Osaka's Kita Ward, it looks best to check the tap lineup on the day before heading over.
