Susukinoyell STAND adds Takikawa Craft Beer Factory's limited PIRIKA&IPA
Susukinoyell STAND, a beer pub in Sapporo's Susukino district, has added Takikawa Craft Beer Factory's limited PIRIKA&IPA. Brewed with local Yumepirika rice, it is a session IPA with a light body and citrus hop aroma.
Susukinoyell STAND, located on the B1F of COCONO SUSUKINO in central Sapporo, has newly added Takikawa Craft Beer Factory's limited PIRIKA&IPA. The pub focuses on Hokkaido craft beer, so this regional release fits naturally into its lineup and gives visitors an easy chance to try a beer with a strong sense of place.
PIRIKA&IPA was developed in collaboration with local revitalization volunteers and uses Yumepirika, a branded rice grown in Takikawa. It is an American-style session IPA with 5% ABV and 40 IBU. The beer is described as having a pale amber light body, citrusy hop aroma, and a clean balance of bitterness. Because it is a non-heat-treated fresh beer, its crispness should stand out even more.
Takikawa Craft Beer Factory is the only brewery in the Nakasorachi area. Alongside its core beers, including Sorachi Ale, Sorachi Pilsner, and Apple & Dry, it also develops limited releases that reflect local ingredients.
- Limited session IPA brewed with Yumepirika rice
- 5% ABV and 40 IBU
- Citrus aroma, firm bitterness, and a light body
- Hokkaido craft beer served in a Susukino beer pub
For pairing, it should work well as an IPA with clear bitterness, while the rice-derived lightness adds a distinctive local twist. For craft beer fans looking for something rooted in Hokkaido, this is an easy beer to put on the list.
