Sakaduki Brewing, based in Adachi, Tokyo, will newly tap Tune #01 – First Note on Wednesday, September 30. The beer was created as an OEM product in collaboration with Turn up, a company operating restaurants mainly in Tokyo. It is also being served in cans at TOKYO PASTA STATION, an Italian restaurant that opened on September 16 inside the Marunouchi ticket-gate area of Gransta Tokyo at JR Tokyo Station.

The beer is a crisp, highly drinkable golden ale developed with pasta pairings in mind. Lemon juice adds a bright, refreshing citrus character, while mineral-rich Okinawan salt is used as a subtle accent. The salt helps round out the acidity and gives the beer a smoother finish.

Essentially a “salted lemon beer,” Tune #01 – First Note is designed to complement food rather than overwhelm it. Its light body and citrus notes should work well with a range of dishes, from tomato-based and cream sauces to seafood pasta. Sakaduki Brewing is also planning a food-pairing day to coincide with the tapping, making the choice of accompanying dishes part of the appeal.

The beer had previously been listed as having no fixed tapping date, but the brewery has now confirmed September 30. Only a few kegs will be connected at Sakaduki Brewing, where it is scheduled to be served from the tap.

While TOKYO PASTA STATION offers the beer in cans, the Adachi brewery will present it fresh from the keg. Tune #01 – First Note looks set to be enjoyed both on its own and alongside a meal, with its first tap appearance offering craft beer fans a chance to experience the collaboration in its freshest form.
