Bar FUKURO opens new taps from three domestic breweries, plus a Repubrew event
The Kamata beer pub Bar FUKURO has announced three new taps. Yellow Beer Works' The Bitter #2, Repubrew's Chou Nama, and Tokyo Aleworks' Kentucky Bluegrass are all being tapped at the same time, and a Repubrew Tap Takeover is also scheduled for March 20-21.
A new draft lineup has been unveiled at Bar FUKURO near JR Kamata Station. This time, the taps bring together distinctive beers from three Japanese breweries with different regions and styles.
From Yellow Beer Works in Fukushima comes The Bitter #2 (Bitter / ABV 4.0%). It centers on caramel-like malt character and a full-bodied grain presence, with herbal hop bitterness, and the post introduces it as a beer that pairs easily with food.
Repubrew of Numazu, Shizuoka, is pouring Chou Nama (Brut Lager / ABV 5.0%). Straw-colored, it features the fresh, herbal aroma of noble hops. Its malt bill supports the easy-drinking profile that can otherwise feel thin in Brut-style beers, and zero sugar is another key point.
Tokyo Aleworks in Itabashi, Tokyo, is offering Kentucky Bluegrass (Kentucky Common / ABV 5.0%). Inspired by a traditional American style that was popular before Prohibition, it is presented as a well-balanced beer that expresses yeast-derived character along with corn and rye.
Bar FUKURO’s appeal lies in how clearly it shows a wide range of styles every time it updates its taps. As one Kamata spot where it’s easy to relax and compare beers, this lineup also makes it easy to start light and finish with a focused tasting. In addition, information has come out about a Repubrew Tap Takeover on March 20-21, making this a moment Repubrew fans won’t want to miss.
