RAKU BEER in Hiroshima’s Naka Ward is a beer pub known for draft Japanese craft beer and a relaxed setting. The shop also offers food, with meat dishes that pair naturally with the tap list.

In its Aug. 13 post, the bar introduced a new beer from NOVORU BREWING: Tagiru, a West Coast Pale Ale. The beer is described as having white grape and muscat-like aromas from Nelson Sauvin, layered with ripe fruit notes from El Dorado. It sounds light, dry, and firmly bitter, with a crisp finish.

The day’s lineup includes nine draft beers. From Hiroshima’s HIROSHIMA NEIGHBORLY BREWING, there are Dai Goro Sakagasu SOUR ALE -Ichika- and Lemoburu GO HIROSHIMA. Also on tap are NARA CRASH from CHORYO Craft Beer, Smells Like Swan Spirit Swan Lake Beer collaboration from CRAFTROCK BREWING, Weizen from Minoh Beer, KODAMA Wood Aged Saison with Citrus (Shonan Beer collaboration) from NUDE BEER, VERY VERY BERRY from GRANDLINE BREWING, and Heartland from KIRIN BEER.

The range runs from hop-forward pale ale and Cold IPA to sour ale, saison, weizen, and pilsner. For drinkers who enjoy moving between styles in one session, RAKU BEER’s tap list offers plenty of room to compare and choose by mood.
