Based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Susukino Brewing shared news of a new release on Instagram. The new beer is "Susukino Ale ESB." In the post, the brewery said it had "brewed an ESB for the first time in a year," and explained that the recipe uses more malt than last year in pursuit of a more substantial finish.

The published specs are as follows.

- Name: Susukino Ale ESB
- Style: ESB (Extra Special Bitter)
- Alcohol by volume: 6%
- IBU: 32

The brewery describes it as a "gentle pint" suited to the cold season, and the balance between malt-derived richness and restrained bitterness is likely to be the main point of interest. Service is said to begin soon at Susukino Ale STAND, and the post also mentions that orders are now being accepted from restaurants.

On its official website, the brewery has highlighted its location just a four-minute walk from Hosui-Susukino Station and its concept of being "a source of joy for this city." In June 2024, it ended operations at the attached taproom due to an expansion of its brewing tanks, and since then it has been serving draft beer at places such as "Susukino Ale STAND" on the first basement floor of COCONO SUSUKINO. This new ESB also carries added significance as a release delivered after that strengthening of its production system.

The post suggests that more new releases are on the way, so as the first item in the 2026 lineup, the next thing to watch is the timing of this ESB's first pour.
