Inagebeer serves two new beers for the Sengendori Festival as July 14 crowds turn out
Inagebeer, a brewery-pub in Chiba’s Inage district, prepared four beers for the Sengendori street festival on July 14-15. Two of them were new festival beers inspired by local history and the area’s seaside past, and the brewery said many guests came by on July 14.
Inagebeer is a brewery-pub in Inage, Chiba, located between JR Inage Station and Keisei Inage Station. The taproom sits on Sengendori, where the brewery serves its own house-made beers. Its lineup changes with the season, and the brewery often leans on local names and ingredients that reflect Chiba and Inage.
A festival lineup built around local stories
For the Sengendori Festival held on July 14-15, the brewery prepared four beers in total. Two were new releases created for the occasion: a peach beer inspired by the historical practice of selling peaches as good-luck items during ceremonies at the nearby Asama Shrine, and a dark beer made with clam shells, a nod to Inage’s past as a seaside town. During the festival, the brewery also announced that beer would be served in plastic cups as takeaway service, matching the busy street-festival setting.
After the July 14 service, the brewery posted thanks to customers, saying many people came to the festival and drank a lot of beer. The release shows how Inagebeer ties together local festival culture, neighborhood history, and its own house-brewed beer in a way that feels firmly rooted in the district rather than built for spectacle.
