The beer pub Freehouse-THE YEAST, located at 8-8 6-jo-dori in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, has published its April 2026 business calendar on Instagram.

In the post, the shop announces the arrival of spring with "Spring has come 🌸" and introduces the month's featured beers in order. Starting on April 3, it will tap "UNDER A TREE 5", a sour ale made with seaweed from NORI SHOP Honomori in Suzuka, Mie, as a secondary ingredient. It is presented as a Yeasters-style sour ale that layers the mineral character and umami of seaweed over a bright, tart profile.

Then on April 11 and 12, the annual "Asahikawa IPA #5" release event will be held. This beer is distributed as Yeasters' "Asahikawa IPA" and is an IPA known for its lively aroma and citrusy, pleasantly bitter character. As a spring staple, it is firmly built into the shop's calendar.

In addition, during Golden Week, the collaborative touring project "91HOPPING" with HUG and TONOTO is also scheduled to take place for the first time in about a year and a half. The announcement goes beyond simply unveiling new beers and shows an effort to connect Asahikawa's central beer scene.

Freehouse-THE YEAST is an Asahikawa beer pub offering a selection of domestic and imported draft beers. While it is easy to drop in and drink standing up, it also has second-floor seating, making it appealing for first-time visitors who want to sit down and compare beers at an easy pace. Centered on Yeasters' original beers, the spring lineup is especially broad, ranging from a sour ale made with seaweed to an IPA tied to a local event. If you are looking for this month's beer in Asahikawa, this is the first place to check.
