At YELLOW APE CRAFT in Kitahama, Osaka, the tap list moved on April 23. This time, four kegs opened: Yebisu, American Amber Lager / Daisen G Beer, Blend Pale / Field Ales Brewery, and Foam me Brown / Field Ales Brewery. The lineup lets you follow beers in very different directions all at once, from lager and amber to pale and brown.

Highlights of the day

- The familiar reliability of Yebisu, and the reassurance of an easy first pour
- The balance of malt richness and hop character in American Amber Lager / Daisen G Beer
- The light, airy pale ale feel of Blend Pale / Field Ales Brewery
- The calm outline of Foam me Brown / Field Ales Brewery and its brown ale character

The two Field Ales Brewery beers were especially notable: in the caption, they were introduced as a simultaneous opening for "Wakai-san Beer Part 2," making it easy to compare the pale ale and brown ale side by side. Being able to check the difference in aroma and malt depth one after another in the same bar is a welcome treat for craft beer fans.

YELLOW APE CRAFT is a Kitahama beer pub that keeps around 20 taps or so changing daily, and it also has a bottle shop. The interior, designed by graf, is simple and calm, and the compact space seats about 25 people including standing room. The shop is non-smoking and offers Wi-Fi. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 15:00 to 24:30, making it a good place for a drink after work.

There is also a craft beer all-you-can-drink course for groups of four or more. One plan is 6000 yen for all taps, and another is 5000 yen for 10 selected beers, so it is easy to use when you want to settle in and drink slowly with food.

In addition, the announcement mentioned participation in the Craft Beer Live event on May 23 and 24. Along with the in-house tap updates, there is a clear sense of movement toward the event season as well.
