RIOT BEER's taproom in Kinuta, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, will host an 8th anniversary party from April 11 to 12. The brewpub, within walking distance of Soshigaya-Okura Station, is known for brewing beers that emphasize malt depth. At the anniversary event, a commemorative beer that clearly showcases that signature character will make its debut.

This time's centerpiece is Vienna Lager, introduced as RIOT BEER's 8th anniversary beer. The caption highlights the aroma of Vienna malt, a gentle bread-like sweetness, nutty nuances like almonds and hazelnuts, and a crisp finish. Rather than flashy hop character, this is a beer that cleanly brings out the contours derived from the malt.

During the anniversary period, this beer will be sold at slightly reduced prices in both regular and mega sizes. In addition, a survey asking visitors what kind of beer they would like to drink is also planned, with the responses to be used to connect to the next brew as part of the "Let's Make Riot Beer Together!" project. Those who wish to participate can join the brewing in Katsunuma in June, and a toast on site in July is also being planned.

Brewtones and Nicky & Darryl are scheduled to visit on April 12, so the anniversary party looks set to be an event where you can enjoy not just the beer, but the atmosphere itself. At this small brewery rooted in a residential neighborhood of Setagaya, visitors can savor a handmade-feeling anniversary beer.
