Three new taps in Koenji

Craft Beer Sakaba Citraba in Koenji introduced three new guest beers in a post on June 24. The beer pub opens from 4 p.m. on weekdays, making it an easy stop for an after-work pint in the Koenji area.

The new lineup features Shonan Beer’s seasonal Lime Session, GOOD HOPS Pacific Lines, and the perennial favorite Shiga Kogen IPA. It is a balanced selection that matches Citraba’s beer-bar style: approachable, refreshing, and still firmly hop-driven.

The most summery release is Shonan Beer Lime Session. At 3.5% ABV, it is described as a low-alcohol fruit lager with lively lime acidity and juicy fruit character. It is the kind of beer you can keep sipping when the weather turns hot.

GOOD HOPS Pacific Lines is an IPA that connects Southern Hemisphere hops with hops from Tono. The beer is described as bringing pineapple and lemon-like fruit aromas, layered with floral notes, before finishing dry. It is a good pick for drinkers who want to follow the hop profile from aroma to finish.

Shiga Kogen IPA rounds out the trio with a classic, flagship expression. Its strong hop character is supported by a solid malt body, delivering the kind of bitter, satisfying drink that has long made it one of the brewery’s signature beers.

Citraba is also known for its lively pub atmosphere and for serving craft lemon sours and its signature fried chicken alongside beer. It works well for solo drinking as well as small groups, and the rotating tap list is part of the appeal. This three-beer update is a neat snapshot of the bar’s range: light, aromatic, and firmly beer-geek friendly.
