Novel Craft in Tokyo adds two bottles, eight taps, bread, and taco rice

Novel Craft, a beer pub in the Minami-Karasuyama area of Setagaya, posted an update on June 4 with a new bottle arrival and a fresh tap list. The shop opens at 5:00 p.m., and the post pairs beer news with food updates as well.
Two bottled beers were highlighted. `De Ranke / XX Bitter` is a 5% ABV Belgian beer with hop-driven citrus and herbal aromas and a firm bitterness. The post frames it as a beer that works well on draft too, but feels especially rewarding in a large bottle, where the changing temperature becomes part of the experience.
The second bottle is `Drie Fonteinen / Cuvee Armand & Gaston`, a gueuze blended from lambics aged for one, two, and three years. The shop describes it as complex and wild, with balanced acidity, and notes that it arrived in 375 ml bottles after bottle conditioning.
On the food side, the team said it was baking chocolate marble bread, with an expected bake time of about an hour and a half. If it turns out well, it will be added to the menu; if not, "bread" becomes a banned word for the day, in the shop's own joke. Taco rice is also back, giving visitors an option beyond drinks.
The draft list includes eight beers:
- `Garage × LHG / ADRENOCHROME`
- `Trap Door / Trap Door IPA`
- `Bellwoods / Grisette`
- `Yorocco Beer / Sky Walker IPA`
- `Novel Craft Brewing / Over Dub`
- `麦雑穀工房 / Tranquil Ale`
- `Novel Craft Brewing / Looper`
- `Field Ales / Blend Pale`
With Belgian bottles, a varied tap list, and food on offer, the pub presents a well-rounded stop for beer drinkers in Tokyo who want to pair a pint with a meal.
