Seven new arrivals from Nagoya and Takao

Izuya Shoten, a beer pub in Nakanobu, Shinagawa, Tokyo, has announced its latest arrivals for November 5. The selection includes four beers from Y Market Brewing in Nagoya, Aichi, and three beers from CRAFTROCK Brewing in Takao, Tokyo.

Y Market’s 370ml lineup begins with Fle Pils, a French pilsner made to showcase the character of French hops in a straightforward way. It is described as having a slightly hazy gold color and a light body.

Yoriai NAGOYA UNION 2026 WEST COAST IPA is the second release in “Nagoya Union,” a project in which breweries from the Nagoya area take on a shared theme. This edition focuses on the Modern West Coast IPA style, offering a refreshing finish and approachable drinkability.

The lineup also includes Delay IPA, an American IPA inspired by the delay effect used to repeat sound and add depth to a performance. Ichiban Bakujiru IPA is a “crazy” West Coast IPA brewed exclusively with first wort. It is described as bright and transparent, with a pale yellow color and light body.

Distinctive beers from CRAFTROCK

CRAFTROCK Brewing contributes three 250ml beers: Joy Hopposites, POWER OF RICE, and Aleternative IPA.

Although Joy Hopposites is a Double IPA, it is presented as remarkably smooth and clear, with little obvious alcohol impression. The limited POWER OF RICE uses sake rice Kamenoo from Pukupuku Brewing, along with lavender leaf and two types of mint grown at the RiCE editorial team’s rooftop farm, ART FARM IKEJIRI. Its clean, dry palate is paired with a bright herbal aroma.

Aleternative IPA is described as CRAFTROCK’s most popular beer and flagship. Together, the seven arrivals offer a broad tasting lineup, from an easy-drinking pilsner and hop-forward IPAs to a limited beer with distinctive herbal notes.

Visitors to the Nakanobu and Ebaramachi area can check current availability at Izuya Shoten and choose among the beers according to their preferred style.\n\nAvailability may change.
