Orize Brewing Announces April Event Appearances and Business Schedule Changes
Orize Brewing in Wakayama City has published its April business-day calendar. On April 5, it will take part in the 6th anniversary event for Hakkou Department, where it will also display and sell the collaboration beer "Taiwan TEA ALE" and the Orize Bucket. It will be closed on April 11.
Orize Brewing (Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture) announced its April business-day calendar on Instagram. Founded in Wakayama City in 2019, the brewery is known as a nanobrewery that makes gluten-free beer using rice koji as its main ingredient.
On April 5, head to Hakkou Department
On April 5, Mr. Kinoshita will appear at Hakkou Department's 6th anniversary event. The post says he will be there from the 11:00 opening until around 18:00, and the venue will also serve the collaboration beer with Hakkou Department, "Taiwan TEA ALE." From the evening, there will also be a talk session with Mr. Gomi of Gomi Shoyu, casually discussing koji.
In addition, there will be a display and sales of the "Orize Bucket," which lets you make koji at home. It looks like a chance to speak directly with staff from the brewery, who usually focus on production.
Closed on April 11
Meanwhile, Saturday, April 11 will be a closed day. The taproom will be closed because the company will appear as a guest at the online general meeting of the Japan Fermentation Culture Association. Orize Brewing's tasting space is normally open only on Fridays and Saturdays, but hours may change depending on brewing and event appearances, so checking the latest information on Instagram and Facebook is recommended.
In addition to creating its own gluten-free beer using rice koji, Orize Brewing also participates in events centered on fermentation culture. April looks set to be a month when people can experience the brewery's activities even outside the brewery itself.
