HOP JAPAN Beer Restaurant Koriyama, a brewpub near Koriyama Station in Fukushima, will begin serving Abukuma FRESH 2026 at 5:00 p.m. on September 11, 2026.

This seasonal beer is brewed with freshly harvested hops from Tamura, Fukushima. For the 2026 release, the hops are used within one hour of harvest, without freezing or pelletizing. The result is a fresh hop beer with herbal, green notes alongside bright citrus aromas reminiscent of lemon and mandarin.

Abukuma FRESH 2026 is a Fresh Hop Pale Ale with an ABV of 5.2%. Its light body and clean finish keep it refreshing, while the freshly picked hops provide a distinct aroma and character.

The event will include a presentation by brewer Suguru, explaining the beer and its brewing process. Limited food will also be available, giving guests an opportunity to explore pairings with the fresh hop beer.

A commemorative illustration created by the restaurant staff will appear above the tap, with Abukuma FRESH 2026 poured directly below it. The opening is suited to an after-work drink, a toast with friends, or a casual solo visit.

At HOP JAPAN Beer Restaurant Koriyama, guests can experience the character of Fukushima-grown hops in a relaxed brewpub setting and enjoy a beer available only during the harvest season.
